Widget concepts for NothingOS

NothingOS is an Android skin developed for smartphones by the London-based company ‘Nothing’. It aims to minimize distractions and encourage intentional smartphone use. Widgets are a key feature through which Nothing seeks to reduce app usage. The approach to widgets and their design by Nothing particularly intrigued me, prompting me to explore various concepts. I shared my exploration as a series on Twitter, which garnered significant attention and provided valuable insights and perspectives.

Part 1

The above video is a compilation of all 10 widget concepts I made over the course of 10 days.

You can learn more about each widget by exploring the Twitter thread I created, which contains posts for each widget explaining how it works and includes people's feedback on each design.

Part 2

Part 2 of my NothingOS widget series explores new minimal designs that enhance the smartphone experience while staying true to Nothing's design philosophy.

You can learn more about each widget by exploring the Twitter thread I created, which contains posts for each widget explaining how it works and includes people's feedback on each design.
